They share a lot of things, including a similar api (which makes for a good transition) and target audience, much of the things that you can do in one you can do in the other with similar ease... But really, as soon as I've started thinking I've seen pragmatic implications (that, in my opinion, do make a difference) at several different levels: - the underlying platform (java vs c++) - the status of the development (near 1.0 vs just launched) - the approach (integrated IDE vs light glue api) -... In fact I'd like to take some time to ellaborate (maybe on a different post, as I think it's an interesting topic to discuss). I use both often and think other people do too, so I can comment on the reasons that make me open one or the other for a particular task.
